Three kinds of trip, one page: travelling with kids, a spa and pool break, a night at a big show. Each list is ranked for that trip only, so a hotel can sit high here and lower in the overall stars. Facts come from the full reviews linked on every entry.
Family-friendly casino hotels
Kids and casino hotels mix better than you'd think: age limits cover the gaming floor and a handful of bars, not the whole building. The real question is how much there is to keep children busy — and, at one resort, whether they're let in at all. Our ranked picks:
River Cree Resort & Casino 4.02/5
Top of the list by a distance. Public skating on two NHL-size rinks, a pool and whirlpool, a Luxury Family Suite, and a free five-minute shuttle to West Edmonton Mall — plus, since July 29, 2024, access for accompanied minors to everything except the gaming floor.
Fallsview Casino Resort 4.66/5
Children are allowed everywhere except the 19+ casino. Under-12s swim with a parent; Clifton Hill, the Butterfly Conservatory and Bird Kingdom are all close. And the view from a falls-facing room does half the entertaining.
Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto 4.41/5
Kids stay with a guest who's 19-plus. A 2-Bedroom Suite sleeps six (fridge and microwave included), the pool has a hot tub, and most days the races at Woodbine next door are free.
River Rock Casino Resort 4.23/5
Water slide in the pool, several all-ages restaurants, and the Canada Line for Vancouver sightseeing. The adult checking in must be 19 or older.
Casino New Brunswick 3.57/5
Children can stay with an adult; under-12s are supervised in the pool. Nearby Magnetic Hill (and its zoo) and Hopewell Rocks make it a natural family road-trip stop.
Grey Eagle Resort & Casino 3.91/5
Standard Two Queen rooms are pitched at families, the Event Centre is all ages, and Calgary Zoo and Heritage Park are close. With the pool shut for renovation, guests get free passes to city pools.
Not with kids
Strike Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa off a family list entirely: its 19+ rule covers rooms and restaurants as well as gaming. Caesars Windsor is a qualified maybe — the Augustus Tower is marketed to families and Colosseum shows let all ages in, but the pool is for adults only.
Casino hotels with the best spas and pools
Here the spa is the main event and the casino the sideshow. For each hotel we list what it publishes about pool, spa and gym — and call out anything closed right now.
Hilton Lac-Leamy & Casino du Lac-Leamy 4.22/5
Heated pools and hot tubs indoors and out, open all twelve months; Amerispa with 17 treatment rooms and weekday packages from $252; sauna, steam bath, and a free gym that never closes. In a league of its own.
Fallsview Casino Resort 4.66/5
Damara Day Spa on the premises, an indoor pool from 7 am to 10 pm, and suites with whirlpool tubs facing the falls.
River Rock Casino Resort 4.23/5
Six treatment rooms at Absolute Spa (daily, 10 am–6 pm), a pool with a water slide, and a fitness centre.
Casino Rama Resort 4.14/5
New since the 2024–2026 refresh: a ground-floor spa with saunas and steam rooms; swimmers head up to the third-floor pool.
Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto 4.41/5
No spa, but the 2023-built hotel has a pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room.
Caesars Windsor 4.40/5
Adults-only indoor pool with a large whirlpool; hotel guests also get the sauna and fitness area.
Closed, or not there
Grey Eagle: pool shut for renovation, outdoor hot tub and sauna still open. Cascades Langley: no pool. Hard Rock Ottawa: none listed.
Casino hotels with the biggest stages
For many Canadians the first casino-hotel booking comes with concert tickets attached. The venues below run from biggest to smallest, each with the age rule that decides who gets in.
Fallsview Casino Resort 4.66/5

Colosseum: 5,000 seats within 225 feet of the stage. All ages unless a show is marked otherwise.
Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto 4.41/5
The Theatre: concerts for up to 5,000. Ticketmaster is the sole seller.
Casino Rama Resort 4.14/5
Entertainment Centre: 5,000-plus seats, still lining up big names for late 2026.
Grey Eagle Resort & Casino 3.91/5
Event Centre: 2,500 seats, all ages, L-Acoustics sound. The Concert Night Getaway bundles two tickets with a room.
