Ontario leads the country on casino hotels, in number and in variety: towers over the falls at Niagara, a riverfront resort facing Detroit, a new-build next to Toronto's racetrack, an adults-only Hard Rock in Ottawa and a lake-country resort outside Orillia. OLG runs gaming, the AGCO regulates it, and 19 is the age to play.

Two Ontario properties we have not scored yet: Pickering Casino Resort, east of Toronto — 275 rooms, trading since January 2023 — and, near Port Perry on Scugog Island, the Great Blue Heron casino, whose hotel was finished in November 2021. Dates and room counts for both are on the new hotels page.
