Casino New Brunswick: our review
Last updated · facts verified
Built in 2010 in Moncton, Casino New Brunswick is Atlantic Canada's casino hotel. The 126 rooms start at a roomy 440 sq ft, with city or mountain views through windows that actually open; add a pool, a concert hall, free parking and a welcome for pets, with Magnetic Hill and Hopewell Rocks within reach.
Ideal for: Maritime road trippers travelling with a dog or cat, within reach of Hopewell Rocks and Magnetic Hill.
Think twice if: Room service and plenty of restaurants are on your list.
Atlantic Canada's casino hotel
Casino, hotel and entertainment centre arrived together in Moncton in 2010. Great Canadian Entertainment runs the complex, and east of Québec it's the one casino hotel you really need to know about.
Space to spread out
Space is the selling point. Even the entry-level Deluxe King starts at 440 sq ft, and the Deluxe Two Queen at 490 — each with high ceilings, opening windows, walk-in showers, 300-thread-count bedding and a city or mountain outlook. Above them sit the Studio Suite (590 sq ft) and the Luxury Suite (795 sq ft); highest of all, on floor five, is the Marquis Suite, with a balcony of its own and a second bathroom. 126 rooms and suites in all.
You need to be 19 to reserve or check in. Children can stay, but not in 19+ areas. 4 pm in, 11 am out. No room service for now.
Gaming
At the tables: blackjack, baccarat, I Luv Suits, craps, roulette. Poker happens in a private room nicknamed "the Lighthouse", Thursday to Saturday evenings. Fresh slot titles landed in December 2025 and again in March 2026. The free Rewards Club saves you money at the buffet and gift shop.
Food and shows
Slim pickings: The Buffet (Wednesday–Saturday; Ribs & Wings Thursday, AA Prime Rib Friday; a few dollars off for members) and the Hub City Pub on the gaming floor. Both 19+. Concerts play the Molson Canadian Centre, part of the complex.
Pool, gym and pets
Pool and gym on site; under-12s need supervision. Two cats or dogs per room, 50 lbs maximum each, $40 a night — kept out of the pool, gym and restaurants. Parking costs nothing, but check-in asks for your car's make, model and plate.
Out and about
Hotel suggestions: Magnetic Hill and its zoo, Tidal Bore Park, TreeGO, the Capitol Theatre. Hopewell Rocks on the Bay of Fundy is within day-trip distance.
Verdict
Roomy, pet-friendly, with a pool: a smart road-trip overnight. Just plan to eat in town at least once.
