758 rooms — more than anywhere else in this guide — split over two towers, most of them pointed at the Detroit skyline across the river. Downstairs: 2,000-plus slot machines and 80-plus tables. Next door: the 5,000-seat Colosseum, whose farthest seat is 225 feet from the stage. And all of it downtown, not off a highway ramp.

Think twice if: Swimming is on the kids' wish list — the pool is strictly for adults.

Size first

Nothing we review is bigger: 758 rooms. They sit in two towers — the Augustus, which Caesars pitches at families, and the older Forum. Both rise from Riverside Drive in downtown Windsor, and what most rooms are really selling is the window: the Detroit River, then the Detroit skyline on the far bank.

Rooms and suites

Roughly 402 sq ft buys you the base Resort Room: king bed, big work desk, a bathtub with a separate shower, and the river out the window. Back in 2018 Caesars announced that all 758 rooms would be redone; Forum Tower rooms were finished by September 2019 with 55-inch screens, new bedding and fresh carpet. Want more? A Resort Deluxe Suite brings a wet bar and whirlpool tub. A Junior Suite separates the living room from the bedroom (the whirlpool only comes in Forum Tower units). The Executive Suite tops the range with a five-piece marble ensuite, a TV set behind the mirror glass, its own butler entrance and, in certain units, a fireplace.

In at 4 pm, out by 11 am. Watch the bill: our test booking showed a $23.40-a-night resort fee, collected when you leave.

The casino

Numbers come from an August 2023 fact sheet: over 2,000 slot machines and over 80 table games, among them what Caesars called the only live craps game in Ontario. There's a World Series of Poker room too, and a 1,700 sq ft Caesars Sportsbook with 22 large screens. The casino and its bars are 19+. Caesars Rewards members get first dibs on Colosseum tickets through presales.

Colosseum

5,000 seats, and Caesars says the worst of them is 225 feet from the stage. It's a big part of why people book Windsor in the first place. Under-19s? A July 2026 announcement confirmed all-ages admission unless a given show is flagged otherwise. When we looked, Alice Cooper was booked for Friday, November 6, 2026.

Eating and drinking

Dress-up dinner: Neros Steakhouse. Dress-down: Legends Sports Bar, Johnny Rockets, Spago Trattoria (Italian-style, good for families), Café 377 (breakfast and lunch) and a Tim Hortons on the Forum Tower main floor that runs 24 hours. Cosmos Lounge books local live music Fridays and Saturdays; Vu Bar has the skyline. No nightclub any more — ARIIUS left in January 2026 and reopened on Ouellette Avenue.

Pool and fitness

The indoor pool is adults only: big whirlpool, deck loungers, towels provided. The sauna and fitness area are open to hotel guests too. A spa? Not among the amenities currently listed.

Transport and parking

From Windsor International Airport, downtown is a short taxi hop. The six-storey garage at 257 Glengarry Avenue, shut for over a year of repairs, was fully back in service from July 8, 2026. Crossing from Detroit, the private Tunnel Bus drops you near the resort at McDougall and University for $15, cashless.

Verdict

Book it for a Colosseum show or a downtown two-nighter where you want options on the room. Couples win here. Families can make the Augustus Tower work, but the kids will need to swim elsewhere.
